- Can I apply for a tourist/visitor visa over the Internet?
- Depending on the passport that you hold, you may be eligible to
apply for a tourist/visitor visa online (ETA - Electronic Travel
Authority). Applications for ETAs can also be submitted through
travel agents or airlines. An ETA will let you spend up to 3 months
in Australia. See the ETA site for more information about the types
of ETA, eligibility, fees, conditions, etc.

- You may be eligible to apply for your student visa online. Visit

- How long can I study on a student visa?
- The length of visa will be dependent on the total length of the
course. You must return to your home country after completion of
your course.

- What is working holiday visa?
- The Working Holiday visa may be granted for people between 18
and 30 from some countries listed below to holiday in Australia
and to supplement their travel funds through incidental employment.
The countries are : Belgium, Canada, Chile, Republic of Cyprus,
Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia,
Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia,
Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United
Kingdom and the USA. Citizens of Iran who are currently in Australia
on a Work and Holiday visa may also be eligible to apply for further
Work and Holiday visas. An arrangement with Bangladesh has also
been signed, but is not yet in effect.
The visa allows a stay of up to 12 months from the date of first
entry to Australia, regardless of whether or not you spend the whole
time in Australia.
You are allowed to do any kind of work of a temporary or casual
nature. You are allowed to work up to 6 months with any one employer.

- Can I work in Australia?
- Student visa allows you to work up to 20 hours a week during school
time and unlimited during holiday. Working holiday visa holder can
work for one employer up to 6 months. Tourist visa does not allow
visitors to work in Australia.

- Can I extend my stay in Australia? If so, how?
- You can apply for a student visa in Australia while holding another
visa (e.g Working Holiday visa or Tourist visa) if you are from
one of assessment level 1 courtiers. You may apply for a further
student visa while in Australia, provided your current visa is not
subject to a 'No Further Stay' condition. You will have to apply
for a new visa before your current visa expires.
